Description
Methylene blue is a synthetic salt and dye with100-year-old medicinal roots, primarily used as an antidote for cyanide poisoning and methemoglobinemia (a rare blood disorder). It is also used as a diagnostic stain in surgeries and procedures (e.g., [colonoscopies]). Recently, low-dose methylene blue is being researched for potential anti-aging, cognitive-boosting (nootropic), and antidepressant benefits.
